Prashasthi 2012

Prashasthi is a concept based brass band concert and it is a known legend throughout Sri Lankan schools. Ananda College Senior Brass Band was the first school band ever to organize a show at the BMICH in 2001.
Following It's legacy, The Ananda College Senior Brass Band has organized "Prashasthi 2012 : The Fellowship of the Reminiscence", which will be held on the 12th of February 2012 at the Lotus Pond Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre.

Educational Cultural & Trade Exhibition organized by Ananda College to celebrate its proud legacy of 125 years. Leading with the theme of "magnetizing the globe through phenomenons of ananda".
Our objective is to mould young Anandians with totally creative insight to meet the future challenges of the fast moving world courageously and confidently.
The Exhibition will be held from 26th to 31st of March from 9.00AM to 9.00PM.

It's with a great honor and privilege that we publish, Madhawa Vidanapathirana, Ravindu Sachira Kuruppu and Vidura Sumanasena of Ananda College were members of the two teams which emerged second and third places at the recently concluded International Schools' Software Competition which was held from 27th to 30th October 2011 in Chennai, India.
The 2 Sri Lankan teams are as follows.

Rhythm Of The Maroons 2011 to be held

"Rhythm Of The Maroons 2011" The annual musical extravaganza organized by the Music Circle of Ananda College is scheduled to be help on the 30th of October from 3.30 pm onwards at the Kularathna Hall.
Ananda College Celebrates 125 years of excellence

Since its inception in the year 1886 by Col. Henry Steel Olcot, Ananda College has been the sentinel of Buddhism within and beyond the borders of Sri Lanka. Ananda has been a key role in protecting the culture, traditions and unity of Mother Sri Lanka. Ananda College has also been inspirational in bringing forward thousands of heroes for the Armed Forces of Sri Lanka. From the battle for Independence in 1948, until the re-unification of our motherland in the year 2009, Anandians have played an invaluable role. Ananda College will continue to be the library of knowledge as well as the protector of Buddhism and Cultural values of Mother Lanka.
In connection to the 125th anniversary celebrations, a special pirith chant will be held on the 31st of October followed by an alms giving to 125 Buddhist monks on the 1st of November.
