Our Aims and Objectives

1. To develop a Sinhala Buddhist society which respectfully upholds the teachings of Lord Buddha, the Sinhala Buddhist culture and traditions.
2. To promote higher education to produce more and more professionals, scientists, scholars, members for the medical and engineering professions and generations of learned people for State administration
3. To promote education based on the philosophy of Lord Buddha for gainful worldly existence and thereafter, beyond it.
4. Produce a generation of Anandian’s with the ability to look at the future retrospectively.
5. Organize the Sinhala Buddhist through English education to fight their lost rights and privileges.
6. Mould up Sinhala Buddhist patriots to take up leadership in the task of developing a Sinhala Buddhist society right against unbuddhistic social vices viz: Promotion of the liquor industry, all kinds of gambling
7. Developing a sense of Sinhala Buddhist identity, while tolerating other religions and nationalities.
8. Equip the students with the knowledge of their rights and responsibilities, social norms, legal and moral obligations that are fundamental to the development of a modern and model society.
9. Develop an Anandian identity by equipping the students with the skill and knowledge necessary to achieve local and international recognition.
10. Through extracurricular activities develop personalities and contribute health, bright and well disciplined Anandian’s, to the society.
